C720s - Smaller ISP and Enterprise Cache. The new C720s appliance represents the entrance of Network Appliance into the smaller ISP and enterprise market. This economical yet robust offering is designed with the high-end availability and performance features of other NetCache products. New packaging with internal disks reduces the amount of rack space required. The C720s supports 8,000 concurrent connections, with a throughput of 120 URLs/second. NetApp's new C720s caching appliance, with 256 MB RAM and two 9 GB disk drives, builds on the high performance offered in the NetCache C720 series, but is tailored towards the storage and performance needs of medium-size corporations, ISPs and ISP points-of-presence (POPs). The new appliance incorporates NetCache 3.4. The maximum storage capacity of C720s appliance is determined by the number of disks the appliance supports and how the disks are used.
